Description

The P-51 Mustangis a fighter aircraft that was developed in an astonishing 117 daysunder a contract signed by the British Aircraft Purchase Board with North American
in April 1940 .

It was initially exported to Britain, but when the United States entered the war,it was adopted by the U.S. Army Air Corps, which
was uninterested in the P-51 .

The D type is a model with a lower rear fuselage top surface and a rear sliding valve canopy
to improve the rear visibilityof the previous B/C types .The early model did not have a dorsal fin at the front of the vertical tail, but itwas added during production to improve directional stability.

The reason why the Mustang is said to be a masterpiece during World War II
has been proven in actual combat, but the secret to its excellence lies in
