This is the first of a series of rare recordings featuring jazz greats. The first 2 tracks feature The George Lewis Ragtime Band recorded in 1952. The second set covers tracks 3-7 and features Bunk Johnson with Sister Ernestine Washington vocals. Recorded in 1946 the band includes George Lewis. The third set covers tracks 8-13 and features Richard M. Jones Jazz Wizards from 1944. And the fourth and final set – tracks 14-19 – features DeDe Pierce trumpet and Billie Pierce in Copenhagen in 1967.Running Time:71 minutes.
