Description
Adaptation of Ernest Hemingway’s novel. Santiago (Anthony Quinn) is an elderly fisherman who has not had a catch for 84 days. In desperation, he sets off into the ocean, and is soon caught up in the Gulf Stream. He is gradually caught up in an epic battle with a giant marlin, as he attempts to capture the fish and regain his livelihood and his dignity.
