The battleship “Mikasa” was completed on March 1, 1902 by Vickers, Sons & Maxim, UK.
Armed with 4 30.5 cm main guns, 14 15.2 cm secondary guns, 16 7.6 cm auxiliary guns, 4
4.7 cm rapid-firing guns, 4 underwater 45.7 cm torpedo tubes, maximum speed of 18 knots,
hull. She was armored with Krupp steel and was the world’s strongest battleship at the time of her construction.
In December 1901, she became the flagship of the Combined Fleet and fought in the Russo-Japanese War under Commander-in-Chief Heihachiro Togo.
