Formed in Japan in 2010, BABYMETAL have grown from the seeds sown by band overseer KOBAMETAL and evolved steadily into one of the most powerful musical phenomena in the world today. Backed and supported by some of the finest metal musicians their native land has to offer, SUMETAL, YUIMETAL and MOAMETAL began their mission to unify the world through Heavy Metal. BABYMETALs success in their native country Japan led to Top 10 singles in the Oricon chart in Japan, performances at several major festivals in Japan, including Summer Sonic 2013 and two consecutive sold out nights at Tokyos legendary Budokan venue in March 2014, in front of 20,000 people. Eventually, BABYMETALs reputation had crossed the globe and was beginning to make waves in Europe and America too. With video clips with over 25 million views, the band became a sudden and huge internet phenomenon, leaving pop and metal fans around the world in no doubt about the magic and might of this new musical force. BABYMETAL made their first world tour, traversing continents to perform at the celebrated Sonisphere festival in Knebworth, England (and won over a vast fi eld of 65,000 diehard metalheads in the process), were invited by pop icon Lady Gaga to support her on her prestigious ArtRave: The Artpop Ball tour in the US, and played various sold out shows throughout Europe and in New York. In March 2014, BABYMETAL performed in front of 20,000 people at legendary Budokan venue setting a record for being the youngest female fronted band to ever sell out Nippon Budokan on two consecutive nights. Both shows are arranged with a crystal clear sound thanks to the mastering by acclaimed studio guru and multiple Grammy winner Ted Jensen of Sterling Sound. 2015 finally saw the offi cial album release of BABYMETALs debut in Europe a release that made waves all over the continent. What started with a cover story in prestigious Metal Hammer UK and full length features in all major European magazines, found its peak with being awarded Breakthrough Band at the Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards 2015 and The Spirit Of Independence Award 2015 by Kerrang! magazine. Followed by celebrated live performances at this years Reading and Leeds, a surprise performance with Dragonforce at Download Festival as well as sold-out Europe shows, this years success is now being completed with the release of not only one but two different live releases including performances from four nights.
