Description
American Car and Foundry introduced the 5250 cubic foot version of its “Centerflow” covered hopper in November, 1964. These cars hauled everything from plastics to grain, starches and clays and were owned by railroads, private companies and car leasers alike. Some wore elaborate colorful paint schemes while others were simple gray affairs. Even those however often became more colorful as they became attractive canvases for taggers in the last two decades.
