Description

Co-written and starring award-winning Tim Minchin (Matilda the Musical), this heart-warming comedy drama is set against a backdrop of the stunning Australian outback. When Lucky Flynn (Minchin) learns that his estranged mother is dying, he embarks on a road trip across Australia to see her, packing nothing but an upright piano for the journey. In a dramatic twist of fate, his plans are soon turned upside down when his path collides with runaway teenager Meg (Milly Alcock, A Place to Call Home), who has some demons of her own. The pair forge an unlikely friendship as they drive, hitch and scam their way across the Nullarbor Plain in a race against time, and through a series of quirky happenings we slowly learn what each of them might be running away from.
