Love and legendary producer Luther Dickinson (North Mississippi All Stars) assembled an blues super group in their pilgrimage from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Philadelphia, Mississippi to create “Philadelphia Mississippi”, G. Love’s follow up to the 2020 Grammy-nominated “The Juice”. Digging into his emotions and expectations of creating with Mississippi and Memphis-based blues artists (??Freddie Fox, Schoolly D, Chuck Treece, Speech, Alvin YoungBlood Hart, Jontavious Willis, RL Boyce, Tikyra Jackson, Christone KingFish Ingram, Sharde Thomas, and Trenton Ayers), G. Love tried to capture the essence of their journey and what it meant to approach the Blues as students and performers of the Blues.
