Description
Commonly referred to as an “AC-2,” covered hoppers of this style were built by several car builders from the 1940s to the 1960s. Identified by the opening in the side sheets between the internal slope sheets, these cars were found all across the country on railroads and private car owners hauling cement, sand, and other dense, loose commodities.
